Nike seems to have gotten things right on all fronts with the SQ Machspeed Str8-Fit Golf Driver. It has swing speed enhancements through its aerodynamic design and weighting, and an adjustable hosel where you can take off the club head and reposition it in 8 different ways. So you can get extra distance with the additional swing speed and correct your hook or slice by changing the angle of the clubface. The results from golfer consumer reviews speak for themselves; everyone seems to either be hitting further or straighter, or both.

The square head shape may take a little getting used to at first, just in terms of appearance, but once you get over that, the Machspeed STR8-Fit really lets you bust them out there straight. You’ll find that this driver is more accurate than most others on the market and you’ll love seeing a higher than average ball flight and extra distance.

The Nike SQ Machspeed Str8-Fit is the first in its model line however the Nike SQ Sumo 5900 uses similar technology.

Technology Features

The Nike SQ Machspeed Str8-Fit has 8 face angle options, ranging from 2 degrees open to 2 degrees closed. It allows players to dramatically shape their drives. Golfers can simply unscrew the club head, using a torque wrench that comes with it, and reattach the head in one of eight different settings. You can change the loft, lie angle, and face angle of the driver. The torque wrench has a LED indicator light and makes a sound to signal that the shaft and the STR8-FIT adaptor are fully secure and locked in place.

SQ Machspeed drivers are square shaped and designed to generate higher club head speeds than any other Nike driver by optimizing aerodynamics throughout the entire path of the swing. Nike has built these swing aerodynamics into the SQ MachSpeed by reducing drag on the club head and increasing airflow smoothly around all parts of the club. Nike calls these designs Powerbow and Sole Diffuser, and they help to promote faster acceleration of the club so that it can deliver maximum energy to the ball. Nike says that the number one thing that makes the ball go further is having faster ball speed.

Nike has also increased the forgiveness of the SQ Machspeed Str8-Fit by moving weight into the corners of the club head to create more stability at impact.
