Our Review

Wilson consistently pumps out hi-tech drivers that compete well with all of the other manufacturers. That’s why the Wilson Staff Dd6 Driver makes it into our top 20. There are a couple of key technological features to note on this club; first is ETF frame technology. ETF stands for Energy Transfer Frame and it works by capturing energy and focusing it towards the face of the club. With a traditional metal wood, the energy is dispersed throughout the club head, minimizing the hot zone or sweet spot of the face. A metal wood with an ETF face redirects the impact energy towards the face of the club effectively doubling the hot zone of the face. Think of it like the ball hitting a trampoline and shooting off, whereas with a traditional driver the ball just hits with no major bounce.  A larger hot zone also means more forgiveness for shots not hit directly in the center of the driver head.  The result is a club that is perfect for the player seeking maximum distance with compensation for miss-hits.
